Stories of Atatürk Orman Çiftliği

Children's Book│ 2016

Chamber of City Planners,  Ankara, Turkey

“Atatürk Orman Çiftliği”, founded in 1925, is both an urban agricultural research & development and recreational area in Ankara.  It  has an important place in urban life and there are many modern architectural heritage buildings in it. Today, due to ideological implementations around this area, it is under the threat of  losing its characteristic and authenticity of its architectural heritage.

Within this framework, to open up a creative and public conversation on this area, Ankara Branch of the Chamber of City Planners held a workshop to create a Children’s Book which contains ten fictional stories. In these stories, ideas and dreams on “Atatürk Orman Çiftliği” were shared with children. We can say that not only children, but also people around all ages enjoyed this book.
